Outside of Hollywood, Paul Newman was widely recognized in the racing world and the cars that he owned were equally extraordinary. It includes this VW Beetle convertible. The car might look unassuming but it’s absolutely deceiving. That’s because it’s powered by a V8 engine sourced from Ford. Since the massive engine won’t fit at the engine bay, it was set at the middle of the car, getting rid of the rear seats.
